Guest Tanene Allison
After setting out on her own as a gay teenager, dropping out from high school and leaving behind an abusive home and hometown, Tanene Allison moved to San Francisco where she circulated between friends’ homes and shelters.
Despite the difficulties, by age 19 she was advising the San Francisco Mayor and Board of Supervisors. She continues to use politics, art and progressive coalition building to assist marginalized groups in their battle for justice.
