Guest Jonathan Coulton
Jonathan Coulton went from high school marching band snare drummer to college a cappella singer to software developer. Jonathan eventually quit his programming gig to do music full time. He started “Thing a Week,” giving away a song a week for a year. His most popular tunes were his folk version of Sir Mix-a-Lot’s “Baby Got Back,” “Code Monkey,” and a video called “Flickr.”
His mix of geekiness, humor and music has drawn comparisons to They Might Be Giants, The Barenaked Ladies and Loudon Wainwright III.
Coulton is now the musical director for Little Gray Books and troubadour for Popular Science magazine.
