John Lewis and Stuart Gaffney were two of the plaintiffs in the historic same-sex marriage case, decided by the California Supreme last May. After 21 years together, they married on June 17, 2008, surrounded by family and friends. John and Stuart have participated actively in all aspects of the campaign for marriage equality in California over the last 5 years, and they are leaders in Marriage Equality USA and Asian & Pacific Islander Equality.
