Despite bad music, worse hair, and spandex, Heather survived that cruel decade and emerged her fearless self. Today, she shares her story on stage, illustrating the finer points of gender identity through baking. Baking and the prospect of being fed cookies puts everyone at ease, and Heather has no problem relating to everyone in the audience. Prop 8 would have never passed if Heather’s cookies were mandatory fare. Just saying. Heather is funny and lovable and I’d go see her again in a heartbeat. […]
